About the founder
Inés Bocanegra Hallin is a 19-year-old sophomore studying Politics, Philosophy, and Law with a minor in Chinese. Originally from Spain, she is a two-time published author with a deep commitment to human rights and social impact. Inés founded Butterfly Effect to build a space where college women could form authentic connections while contributing to a greater cause. As an active donor to the Vicente Ferrer Foundation—a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women in rural India—she believes deeply in the idea that small actions can create lasting change. Through Butterfly Effect, she merges her passion for global justice with the power of friendship, philanthropy and community.

Our Mission
Butterfly Effect is a non-profit, community-focused club where college women come together to build friendships and explore Los Angeles. With every event, we aim to create joy, connection, and purpose. As part of our commitment to giving back, all profits are donated monthly to the Vicente Ferrer Foundation—an organization that empowers women in rural India through education, housing, healthcare, and sustainable development. Founded by Spanish humanitarian Vicente Ferrer, the foundation has transformed millions of lives. Through our contribution, we hope to spark change—proving that fun and impact can go hand in hand.
